CFP REACTION & PREDICTION

Following the New Years College Football games we will look at where we were Right and where we were Wrong.

Where we were Right.

The 5th Seed Oregon Ducks shut out the 4th seed Big 12 Champion Texas Tech Red Raiders 23-0.

Oregon’s Dante Moore was 26/33 for 234 yards with an interception.

Oregon vs Texas Tech was a suprising defensive slugfest that seen the Oregon Defense rise to the occasion forcing 2 interceptions and 2 fumbles while also getting 4 sacks.

The 1 seed Indiana Hoosiers were taking on the 9 seed Alabama Crimson Tide in the Iconic Rose Bowl in a game which wasn’t close after the first quarter.

The Crimson Tide were dismantled in a way we haven’t seen in a very long time losing 38-3. The last time Alabama lost by 35 points was in 1998 where the Tide lost 42-6 to the Arkansas Razor Backs.

Where does Alabama go from here? No one knows. Does Kalen DeBoer keep his Job? I’d Imagine if he does his seat has to be burning up.

The BarnYard predicted upset of OSU at the hand of the Miami Hurricanes raises questions about Ryan Day. Prior to the run to the National Championship last season many Ohio State fans wanted to fire Ryan Day after the loss to Michigan. Now if Ohio State loses to Michigan next year and doesn’t go on a similar run or if they don’t make the CFP it’s not crazy to see Ryan Day be fired.

Back to the game The Hurricanes beat The Buckeyes 24-14 thanks to their defense and strong running game. Ohio State struggled to move the ball having 45 rushing yards on 24 attempts. The Canes defense also forced 2 interceptions one for a touchdown and 5 sacks.

Where the BarnYard was wrong

The Ole Miss Rebels beat The Georgia Bulldogs in a shocker 39-34 thanks in large part to Trinidad Chambliss. Throwing for 362 yards and 2 touchdowns. Which was more yardage than the entire Georgia Bulldogs offense.

Personally I doubted the Ole Miss Rebels chances because they couldn’t beat Georgia with Lane Kiffin and I doubted Pete Golding and did not see a way for Ole Miss to beat Georgia.

Looking forward

We will see Oregon facing off against the Indiana Hoosiers in the Chick Fil A Peach Bowl in Atlanta Georgia. During the regular season we seen these 2 teams face off in Eugene which seen a 30-20 Indiana victory.

It's hard to beat the same time twice in a single season but I can’t pick against Kurt Cignetti and the Indiana Hoosiers. Give me Indiana to Advance to the National Championship.

Next up is the battle of the underdogs. The Miami Hurricanes and the Ole Miss Rebels.

Who would have thought we would be seeing Miami and Ole Miss in the Fiesta Bowl. I cant see Ole Miss pulling this one out over Miami. The Miami Defense has been impressive all season and gotten stronger as the season has gone on.

Give me the Miami Hurricanes moving onto the National Championship and facing off against the Indiana Hoosiers.
