Michigan lands Whittingham

After Sherrone Moore’s fall from grace at the University of Michigan they have seemed to land one of the most stable coaches in the Current state of college football in Kyle Whittingham.

The BYU Alum has been with the University of Utah since 1994 being hired in as the Defensive Line Coach eventually climbing the ranks to Defensive Coordinator then eventually head coach once Urban Meyer left to Florida.

At Utah, Kyle Whittingham built a culture of playing tough and disciplined football which led to 20 years of success.

During Whittingham’s tenure as Utah head coach he went 177-88, 11-6 in Bowl Games, 2 Pac 12 Championships, a Sugar Bowl Victory over Alabama and 2 Rose Bowl appearances.

Following the previous 3 years of controversies around the Michigan Football program it seems as if Michigan was able to land one of the most stable coaches in College Football.

Whittingham will be under contract with Michigan on a 5 year contract averaging 8.2 million dollars a season which is 75% guaranteed.
